Questions about Home Removals?
Indeed we can, but a warning: this must be agreed beforehand, as the extra work will make up a part of the quote and extra equipment may be needed. If we haven’t been advised of it beforehand we will assume that anything that needs dismantled will be already have been done by you. If you are thorough when describing the job when you book it, we can make sure the process goes smoothly from there.
Is the furniture itself strong? If so, leave any light and non-fragile items inside — you can leave all your clothes in your drawers, for instance — but remove anything that is easily broken or heavy and pack it separately. Be aware that anything left inside the furniture will likely move around a lot, even getting lost in cracks and openings, so please pack jewellery, money and stationery separately. Finally, any self-assembly furniture is not likely to be sturdy enough to travel well, so everything inside should be removed and packed separately.
Vans used for removals have a lower speed limit to cars, so they are likely to take longer to travel the distance than you will. Over longer distances, the difference might be considerable, and you should plan for the difference in arrival time. Our van drivers may also be required to stop during longer journeys. We are able to work out an estimated time when we know the locations.
